Do you have a hobby, skill, or area of expertise you're passionate about? Whether it's hiking, photography, robotics, or personal finance, you can make a lasting impact by sharing that knowledge with Scouts as a Merit Badge Counselor.
Counselors play a key role in guiding Scouts through badge requirements, encouraging exploration, and helping them discover new interests. It's a rewarding way to support youth development, give back to Scouting, and turn your talents into something truly meaningful.
No teaching experience required—just a willingness to mentor and inspire the next generation. Ready to help Scouts grow? Let’s get you started!
Getting started is easy! Just follow these simple steps:
Complete the BSA Adult Application
Even if you're already a registered adult leader, you'll need to fill out a new BSA Adult Application ($25 fee if not already registered).
Fill Out the Merit Badge Counselor Information Form
This form lets you indicate which merit badges you'd like to counsel based on your interests, experience, or certifications.
Submit Both Forms
Once completed, email both forms to our local contact:
